Multimedia art, metalsmithing, growing up through the New Age & Modern Primitive movements, swilled with a bit of gothic romance, kindled our amulets, icons, and talismans. Just as tattoos, piercings or body modifications interpret the journey one travels through time, symbolic or sacred, cultural or current. Individual pieces represent a story or an intention through coalesced elements. The style evolved from organic shapes incorporating sticks, stones, bones, and found objects, to the more intricate sculptural periapts they’ve come to be.
